Job Description

Job Summary: As a Membership Consultant at Anytime Fitness Jamison, you will play a crucial role in promoting our fitness facility, engaging with potential members, and helping them achieve their fitness goals. You will serve as the first point of contact for prospective members, providing exceptional customer service, and guiding them through the membership process. Your passion for fitness, strong interpersonal skills, and sales expertise will be instrumental in driving membership growth and fostering a positive gym community.


  • Customer Engagement: Greet and engage with potential members in a friendly and professional manner, actively listening to their needs and fitness goals. Provide detailed information about membership options, benefits, and facility amenities.
  • Membership Sales: Utilize persuasive sales techniques to promote membership packages and ancillary services to potential members. Conduct facility tours, highlighting the features and benefits of the gym, to assist in closing membership sales.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads by actively networking within the local community, conducting outreach events, and implementing referral programs. Maintain a database of prospective members and follow up on inquiries to convert leads into memberships.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with current members, offering ongoing support, guidance, and motivation to ensure member satisfaction and retention. Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently, including membership agreements, waivers, and payment processing. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the gym’s policies, procedures, and membership database.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other gym staff, including personal trainers and group fitness instructors, to enhance the overall member experience and promote cross-selling opportunities.


  • Previous sales experience, preferably in the fitness or hospitality industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with potential members.
  • Passion for health, fitness, and wellness, with a willingness to lead by example.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with membership management software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications and WWVP card (or willingness to obtain them).
  • Cert III and IV in fitness, not essential but highly desired
